So this week Tempo attended The Big Energy Roadshow in order to assist the people of North Wales in getting the best energy advice and information. The aim of the events are to help members of the community get access to energy benefits and live in a warmer and more comfortable home for less, therefore helping to reduce fuel poverty throughout North Wales.
Hosted by Denbighshire County Council as part of their multi-million pound energy conservation programme, a series of drop in- sessions have been and will be held around the North Wales Area.
The programme has brought in over £5million to improve the energy performance of houses in North Wales, with hundreds of homes already improved in West Rhyl and Prestatyn to date.
Tempo were honoured to be invited to Rhyl Town hall on Monday 26th October, Eirianfa Community Centre in Denbigh on Tuesday the 27th and again at Canolfan Ni in Corwen on Friday 30th October along with an array of community assisting firms such as Communities First, Citizens Advice Bureau, Nyth Nest Wales and Age Connect. It was so warming to come together to be able to assist the community on finding the best energy advice, warm homes discounts and current energy efficiency benefits available, including cavity wall insulation funding for 9/10 cavity homes in the UK and boiler contributions for those on qualifying benefits.
The next event will be held tomorrow – Friday 30th October at Canolfan Ni, Corwen from 10-4pm where there will be tonnes of giveaways, games and fun. If you are lucky the energy efficiency Superhero man may make an appearance too – so if you are around the area or are free then make sure you don’t miss out!
It’s so surprising, but most of the time it’s worth learning what is available and what is out there that you could have access to. The Government back many energy efficient projects and release funding on a variety of energy efficient measures at different times, therefore it’s worth learning from the experts themselves and allowing them to point you in the right direction. You have nothing to lose!

I very rarely leave reviews, but on this occasion I felt I just had to.
Quite simply, Tempo ( Doncaster) were brilliant – did exactly as stated on their vans – free boilers. Turned up on time, did a fantastic job fitting my new oil boiler, no hassle, and free. Absolutely brilliant… I’ll spread the word Tempo.
