Tempo’s Energy Expert, Carys Roberts of Rhyl is flying high after facing a daunting charity sky diving challenge on Friday 26th June.
25 year old Carys, who usually spends her days advising householders on energy saving solutions made the leap of faith in aid of the British Heart Foundation after tragically losing her dad to a heart attack on Christmas Day in 2007.
Carys originally planned the tandem jump on her dad’s birthday on 20th June however the trip was postponed after a technical issue with the plane. After another nerve wracking week waiting, Carys completed the jump with Sky Dive Tilstock last Friday and descended 15,000 feet at a rip-roaring speed of 120mph, raising over £1500 for the charity.
With her feet firmly back on the ground, Carys said: “I was so excited to complete the challenge. My dad was my best friend and I did this jump in his memory. Since losing my dad, my friends have also lost parents to tragic heart conditions and so supporting the British Heart Foundation was really important to me.”
The British Heart Foundation is leading the fight against coronary heart disease and donations power their life-saving research.
