Loft insulation is basically rolls of fiberglass that have a yellowy wool like appearance. These fiberglass rolls are lay down in your loft in order to prevent heat escaping from your roof from the energy produced in your home.
According to The Energy Saving Trust, a quarter of heat is lost through the roof alone and placing loft insulation down can not only prevent energy wastage, but could also save you money on your energy bills too!
After you have had your loft insulated, the insulation will require no maintenance at all and should last indefinitely.
